ALS, 1797 Aug. 14, Philadelphia, to John Nicholson, Philadelphia.

Aitken, in financial difficulties, tells Nicholson he is considering selling his printing office and equipment, along with the building he had purchased from Christopher Ludwick. This would pay all his debts, and he could continue in business as a bookbinder and stationer. He asks Nicholson's advice on the plan.
